Finally, Some Good News!

Melissa (my sister) had her second chemo treatment this past Friday. Sounds like she tolerated this one better than the first one. She's very discouraged about losing her hair. Even though she knew this was going to happen, it's different when it actually does. She got a wig from the cancer society. She tried to get one last month, but when she went, they only had dark brown and black wigs. Melissa is blonde. They were nice and let her look through their book of wigs and pick one she liked and ordered it in blond for her. I couldn't imagine Melissa with dark hair, that just wouldn't be her.
Now, the good news. She had 5 lymph node biopsies done a couple of days before the first chemo treatment. They all came back negative. And last week she had a uterine lining biopsy and that also came back negative. So, the cancer hasn't spread anywhere. Very good news. She also says that the one tumor that she can feel already feels smaller and isn't prodtruding like it was, even after the first chemo treatment, so should shrink more with this second treatment.
It's about time there was some good news.

I'm glad to hear this, Tammy. Have you started sending your cute cards to her yet? I'm sure that will help make her days a little brighter. She's in my prayers--
