As some of you might know, my father was diagnosed with a melanoma a few weeks ago. I have spent a lot of time thinking about wonderful memories of growing up with my dad. My dad will always do anything for me or any of my sisters without any thought of himself or his own wants. He is a great father and a great man. His oldest sister passed away several years ago from a cancer that started as a melnoma - although hers had spread before it was diagnosed. So, we are all hoping that dad's has been caught early. Anyway, all of this is because he is scheduled tomorrow to have the melanoma taken off. We should know a lot more tomorrow after the surgery. My sister is going to go with him. I sometimes hate living so far away and having to rely on my sisters to do things like this - I would love to be closer and go with him, too.
On a happier note - I was on call for work today and didn't get called in. I have had about 4 days off now, so I have been able to get a lot done on granny. She got her 2nd china painting today and back in the kiln she went. Back to work tomorrow and over the weekend - I might not get much done for the next few days.
