My Walls are Finished

I finally have my walls finished. I love the color. It's called keratin and looks great with the white trim. Totally different than the off white. It's going to be great when the furniture is back in place and the pictures are up. I have a picture of dogwoods with the dogwood legend on it, so I stencilled dogwoods around the ceiling to add a little more color. And my blinds and curtains are going to be installed on Tuesday evening. I can't wait.

If you don't know what dogwoods look like, I have a picture of the stencilling and a picture dogwoods. I love them. Also, I'm going to post the dogwood legend in case you have never heard it.

A Dogwood Legend
In Jesus' time the dogwood grew
To a stately size and a lovely hue.
'Twas strong and firm as oak branches interwoven
For the cross of Christ its timbers were chosen.

Seeing the distress at this use of their wood
Christ made a promise which still holds good:
"Never again shall the dogwood grow
Large enough to be used so
It shall slender and twisted be
With blossoms like the cross for all to see.

As bloodstains the petals marked in brown -
The blossoms center shall wear a thorny crown.
All who see it will remember me
Crucified on a cross from the dogwood tree.
Cherished and protected this tree shall be
A reminder to all of my agony."

Love the walls! Good job, you are really ambitious! But like you said, white walls really do get to you over time...
