Some of my Favorite Dolls

I was thinking I'd post some of my favorite dolls that I have completed as I'm not going to have time to complete any others until after Christmas. So here goes. The doll with the black velvet dress is Shea. She is sculpted by Donna Rubert. I made this doll a few years ago when I was in Tennesse visiting my family. My mom, sister and I all took a class and made this doll. I had to carry her on the plane to get her home. While on a layover in Atlanta, I had my husband hold her while I went the the restroom. When I got back, my husband was laughing. I asked him what he was laughing at (thinking one of our boys had done something while I was gone). He pointed to a woman sitting across from him and said "That lady says we have a very well behaved daugther." I asked him if he told her it was a doll, he said he didn't, just told her thank you very much.

The doll in the green is Baby Shea. She is also sculted by Donna Rubert and is supposed to be the same doll just at a younger age. Check out her shoes. Those were mine when I was a baby!

The last one is Tippy. Don't you love that big smile. I can't remember who scupted her but I love her anyway.

I hope everyone is just about ready for Christmas. I have almost finished my shopping and almost have all of my decorations up. Hope everyone else is getting close to being finished, too. Don't you just love this time of year?
